Francisco Belo qualified for the final of the shot put

Portuguese athlete Francisco Belo qualified today for the final of the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow, unlike compatriot Tsanko Arnaudov, who was eliminated.

After the first pitch at 19.93 meters, it was the second mark that qualified Francisco Belo, with 20.31, the eighth best record, the last of those who give access to the final, scheduled for 20:35 today.

National record holder Tsanko Arnaudov failed to re-qualify for the final he secured in 2017, when he was fourth-placed, with the first – and inadequate – 19.86-meter pitch remaining to be his best record today, followed by a null and a try on 19.08, finishing in 12th place.
