Frederico Morais advances to third round at Quiksilver Pro France

The Portuguese Frederico Morais qualified today for the third round of Quiksilver Pro France, ninth stage of the world surf circuit, finishing his heat in second position.

Frederico Morais, 34th in the world ranking, won 10.1 points (5.07 and 5.03) in the second round of the first round, being beaten only by Brazilian Italo Ferreira, fifth of the circuit, who added 11, 94 (6.17 and 5.77).

Brazilian Caio Ibelli, 21st in the hierarchy and replacing Hawaiian John John Florence, was relegated to the recap, totaling 9.6 points (5.3 and 4.3).

‘Kikas’, who recently beat the Azores Airlines Pro of the qualifying circuit, is one of the alternates of the 2019 edition of the main circuit, fulfilling his fifth presence in France.

The natural surfer from Cascais has the best record this year in third place at Oi Rio Pro in Brazil and 17th at Corona Open J-Bay in South Africa, and two eliminations in recaps at Margaret River Pro in Australia and Tahiti Pro Teahupo’o in French Polynesia.
