Frederico Morais relegated to recap at Jeffreys Bay

Portugal’s Frederico Morais was relegated to the replay of the Corona Open J-Bay in South Africa, the sixth stage of the world surfing circuit.

After finishing third in Oi Rio Pro, fifth-round ‘Kikas’, 32nd in the world rankings, debuted in the first heat of the first round of the South African competition, in which he added nine points (4 and 9), against 12,03 of the Brazilian Gabriel Medina and 10,57 of the Frenchman Joan Duro.

This is the third presence of the natural surfer of Cascais in the circuit of 2019, in which he is one of the substitutes, after the third place in Rio de Janeiro and the 33rd in Margaret River, Australia.

In 2017, Frederico Morais reached the final in Jeffreys Bay, having been beaten by Brazilian Filipe Toledo.
