Funding of 3M in Madeira for Christmas, New Year and Carnaval lighting

The Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of Madeira published ordinances 354, 355, 356, 357, and 358 of the Vice-Presidency of the Regional Government and Parliamentary Affairs and the Regional Secretariat for Tourism and Culture, which discriminate, budget and regulate those animation charges of the tourist destination Madeira.

For the assembly and disassembly of the decorative lighting at the Christmas, New Year and Carnival parties of 2020/2021 and 2021/22, the Regional Government has budgeted 1,950,000 euros.

With regard to the charges for their design, they are divided into four lots – Zona Central do Funchal (392,500 euros), Cais do Funchal and Avenida Sá Carneiro (440,000 euros), Rua Dr. Fernão de Ornelas, Largo do Phelps and Rua do Carmo 145,000 euros), and Ribeiras do Funchal (160,000 euros).

All these charges, divided over three economic years, are subject to Value Added Tax (VAT) at the legal rate in force.

The charges for the years 2021 and 2022 will be entered, according to the ordinances, in the respective budget proposals of the Regional Government.
