Half marathons in Porto, Matosinhos and Braga postponed

RunPorto announced the decision of postponing its events that were scheduled until the end of September, after analyzing the recent data regarding the current state of public calamity caused by the new coronavirus in which the country is finds.

The Porto half-marathon goes from September 20, 2020 to September 19, 2021, from Braga from September 6, 2020 to May 9, 2021 and Matosinhos from July 26, 2020 to May 20, 2021.

The Father’s Race, scheduled for July 5, is transformed into an online edition on the same date, with a meeting in the virtual world. The 10 km of the race or the 5 km of the walk must be covered individually, avoiding group participation, anywhere in the country.

In relation to the events that have been postponed to 2021, three amendments are proposed to participants already registered: transfer the registration to the 2021 edition, transfer the registration to the 2022 edition or change the registration holder.

For the time being, there is no change to the calendar set for October 1st onwards, remaining as it is, namely the Porto marathon, scheduled for November 8th.
