Homemade Cherry Liqueur

If you are fond of home-made liqueurs, this Cherry Liqueur recipe will not leave you indifferent. Select cherries to their sweetness and prepare this liqueur without secrets.

500 gr cherries with the feet
1 cinnamon stick cut into 2 or 3 pieces
15 cl water
150 gr yellow sugar
30 cl brandy
1 lemon the yellow part of the peel
1 clove


Wash the cherries and dry them carefully with kitchen paper. Place the cherries in a clean, pre-sterilized wide-mouth jar.
Add cinnamon stick, lemon peel, and cloves. Bring the water to a boil and, as soon as it bubbles, turn off the stove and add the sugar.
Let cool and add the brandy.
Pour this preparation over the cherries, close the jar tightly and store in a cool, dry and dark place for about six months before opening it.
Once a week shake the bottle so that the flavors come off and flood the liquor.


Serve your cherry liqueur in chocolate cups is divine.
