ID NO LIMITS 2020 presents first confirmations

In April 2020, ID NO LIMITS will once again take over the Centro de Congressos do Estoril, starting the line up with the first artists confirmed: Rejjie Snow, Kindness, Ezra Collective, Moses Boyd and Coucou Chloe.

The focus continues to be on the timeliness of electronic and urban music, as well as the link with contemporary arts and trends. The festival code was unveiled in 2019 and next year the matrix is strengthened and updated with respect to contemporary music.

Music genres fade each other and hip-hop is mixed with jazz, just as electronics serves as a backdrop for BPM’s most varied references. The festival reveals a 3 eye on what is created in Portugal in cultural terms and invites international names to present their music in a show that welcomes the cutting edge of urban art.

REJJIE SNOW grew up in Dublin’s Northside, where there was no music scene to talk about. He lives wherever his music sends him, creating worlds and words intertwined in complex knots between rainy loops, technicolor keys and percussion, bringing the audience his unmistakable hip hop. His influences range from George Michael to Charles Bukowski.

KINDNESS, aka Adam Bainbridge, recently released the third album “Something Like A War”. After sold out dates in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Berlin and London, the musician and producer brings to the track the energy of various music styles such as queer, house vocal music and funk. “Cry Everything” is their latest single and promises to warm up ID NO LIMITS ‘dance floors.
EZRA COLLECTIVE, as the collective is identified, is synergy in motion. From London bring ID NO LIMITS classic jazz, celebrating the creators and at the same time creating their own unique path. The Ezra Collective focus on the delicate technicalities of AfroBeat and hip-hop jazz music, creating an unmistakably London sound. Live is a dynamic union, making both performances imposing but sensitive with storytelling.
MOSES BOYD, drummer, composer and producer. He is the winner of 2X MOBO Awards, recipient of the John Peel ‘Play more Jazz Award’ from the Gilles Peterson Worldwide Awards in 2016. He also received the award in 2014 by the young music company as jazz musician of the year. Moses worked and collaborated with names such as Lonnie Liston Smith, Ed Motta, Little Simz, Four Tet, Floating Points, Sampha, Zara McFarlane, Gilles Peterson and many others. Moses also releases songs through his own label Exodus Records, and more recently became resident at BBC Radio 1xtra.

COUCOU CHLOE, Erika Jane, dj, French producer and vocalist, currently living in London. In 2016 he released his debut EP Halo, which included the track “Doom”, which was part of Rihanna’s Fenty x Puma dream band at New York Fashion Week. Coucou Chloe’s rhythm crosses sensual, slow beats with hip-hop beats, bringing an ecstatic musical selection to the dance floor.

ID NO LIMITS discovers the new identity of Centro de Congressos do Estoril spaces by transforming a traditional Auditorium with chairs or conference rooms into stages or dance floors.
