In the first European adapted surf, Marta Paço conquers the gold
Marta Jordão Paço, 14, a Portuguese surfer, won the gold medal in the AS-VI class on Cabedelo Beach, in Viana do Castelo, where the first adapted surfing championship was held.
In addition to Marta Jordão Paço, also Nuno Vitorino, who won the European AS 5 Assist category, Camilo Abdula, who became European runner-up in the AS1 class and Nuno Maltêz, who was fourth overall, are part of the Portuguese national team.
The national team won the bronze medal for teams.
The adapted European surfing championship began on the 21st with the presence of six teams, Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, United Kingdom and Germany, with the organization of the Town Hall, the Surf Club of Viana, the European Surfing Federation, the Portuguese Federation the Portuguese Federation of Sports for People with Disabilities, the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth, and the Paralympic Committee of Portugal.
