Clowns have, over time, survived the great events of the world. Between pests and wars, they always found strategies to overcome difficulties and resist the complications of the times. Now, at the beginning of the 21st century, clowns remain resilient and active.
With a sense of responsibility and solidarity, the Encontro de Palhaços program is entirely dedicated to Portuguese artists. International Meeting of Clowns of Vila do Conde, 7th edition 16, 17 and 18 October 2020
“a meias…”– Kopinxas (Portugal)
Detached from manners and manners, they leave in a “joke” and in a “make believe” where the sharing and the comfort of the mutual help meet. Everything shared, everything helped, everything solved to the sound of a music box where meetings and mismatches show how far the audacity of pursuing an adventure goes. We believe it is a journey to the childhood of each one, without prejudice, and that simple breathing a clown language. A show for the whole family where the murmur of childhood is whispered in the ear.

“Reportório Osório”– D’Orfeu (Portugal)
“Reportório Osório” is a collection of songs, combining the shrewd writing of Luís Fernandes with the masterful music of Luís Cardoso. A fray of personal stories in the masculine, almost always intimate, from the dilemma to the flood in a few verses. The daily life of affective relationships transformed into ironic songs (not to call them heroic), in which the theatricality of interpretation only reinforces the profile of each character. The rest are … songs, the most beautiful songs of umor.
