James Bay, the multi-platinum, three-time Grammy nominee and winner of a BRIT Award, announces his first concert in his own name in Porto, which will take place on May 31 at the Hard Club. The visit serves the purpose of presenting the second studio album “Electric Light”.
After the success of their platinum debut album, “Chaos & The Calm,” James Bay finally delivers the long-awaited second work of original “Electric Light” to fans. The long-running feature includes the well-known singles “Wild Love” and “Pink Lemonade” and was recorded with producers Paul Epworth and Jon Green.
James Bay explains that “if I had to visually describe my first album, it would probably be a flame while the new work is about my true sonic evolution. The sensation of a 100-watt bulb expanding and illuminating was what I imagined. ‘Electric Light’ came up in front of me and I knew it was perfect. ”
The singer and guitarist surprised with a new look and new sonorities. The hat and long hair, undoubtedly a trademark image, ended up being left behind, and the musician comes up with a new, more pop look. In the songs are clear the references to artists like Michael Jackson, Prince and until David Bowie.
A concert not to be missed on May 31 at the Hard Club in Porto.
