João Sousa falls to 80th place in the world ranking

Portuguese tennis player João Sousa fell to 80th place in the world tennis ranking, his worst position in more than two and a half years, with Novak Djokovic remaining at the top.

Since March 19, 2018, Guimarães was not in the 80th position of the world hierarchy, with Pedro Sousa rising to 111th, João Domingues falling to 169th and Frederico Silva descending to 198th place.

At the top, Djokovic remains in the lead, despite losing the Roland Garros final to Spaniard Rafael Nadal, who is second, ahead of Austrian Dominic Thiem and Swiss Roger Federer.

Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, semifinalist in Paris, returned to re-enter the ‘top-5’, while Argentine Diego Schwartzmann, who was also on the verge of the final at Roland Garros, rose to eighth place, entering for the first time in the first 10 of the ‘ ATP ranking.
