John Legend confirmed at EDPCOOLJAZZ 2021

John Legend is confirmed at EDPCOOLJAZZ, where he will present the new album “Bigger Love”, released in 2020. The artist has an absolutely impeccable career, full of successes as reflected by songs like “All of me”, “Ordinary People” or “Preach”.

An unavoidable artist in the history of world music and scheduled to perform at the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo, in Cascais, on July 2, 2021.

John Legend is a singer, songwriter, producer, actor and philanthropist. The artist chooses the piano as his instrument of choice.

He has edited eight albums so far, such as Get Lifted (2004), Evolver (2008), Love in The Future (2013) and Darkness and Light (2016), and the latest singles, ‘We Need Love’ and ‘Preach‘ ( 2019), as well as the deluxe edition of the album ‘A Legendary Christmas’.

Born in Ohio and with an unmistakable voice, Legend has a total of 33 awards won over his career and 88 nominations. John Legend has won an Emmy Award, ten Grammy Awards, an Oscar and a Tony Award, as well as a Golden Globe, an American Music Award and two BET Awards. He is an Oscar winner in the category of Best Music, with the theme “Glory”, for the 2014 film Selma and also a Hal David Starlight Award from the Association of Composers Hall of Fame.

A unique night at EDPCOOLJAZZ, where a concert with a special setting will be expected that will make the audience travel through the artist’s memorable themes.

The Manuel Possolo Racecourse, in Cascais, will stage unique shows, having already confirmed performances by artists such as Yann Tiersen (21 July), Miguel Araújo invites Rui Veloso (24 July), Lionel Richie (25 July), Neneh Cherry and Kokoroko (27 July), Herbie Hancock (28 July) and Jorge Ben Jor (31 July).
EDPCOOLJAZZ is postponed to 2021 following the pandemic and its legal and public health conditions, namely with the approval of the Portuguese Government’s law proposal, which determines the non-realization of the events scheduled until September 30th by virtue of COVID 19 .
The tickets issued for the 17th edition of EDPCOOLJAZZ in 2020, are valid for the edition in 2021, there is no need to change. In case of reimbursement, and following the approval of Law 19/2020 of 29 May 2020, ticket holders are entitled to issue a voucher of equal value to the price paid, to be requested at the place where they purchased the ticket.
