“Agradeço a Deus todos os dias” is John Streets’ fifth single, with lyrics and melody of his own and once again in partnership with Caesar Barbosa.
Another theme about love, which speaks of the vicissitudes of life and the strength that we all have to have to overcome difficulties. Life has ups and downs, we must always grasp what we have and thank for our life. To thank is imperative for the author who, in this way, chose to name his single “I thank God every day”.
João Ruas was born in Lisbon in 1983. Minhota family (Ponte de Lima and Viana do Castelo) is the youngest son of three and the only one with a connection to music. He started piano lessons from an early age. In his adolescence he wrote many love poems.
John Streets’ stage name came at a stage when he only wrote and composed in English. At the age of 27 he went to live in Rio de Janeiro and stayed there until he was 32 years old. In Brazil he met the artist Pedro Freitas Branco (Pedro and the Apostles) and Alexandre Reis (Alexandre meu Rei) maintaining partnerships in composition and production.
Brazil was a great school of life. The trip from Portugal to Brazil, left marks, friends and memories that would not be the same again, “We think we will be back the same day we left, but the truth is quite different”.
Leaving Rio de Janeiro and returning to Lisbon with a suitcase full of ideas, John Streets kept his artistic name and started composing, this time in Portuguese. He met Caesar Barbosa (Elite guitarist, composer and human being with a big heart) from the band “Cidade Negra” who is his producer, as well as Ramon Galarza (excellent musician, producer and a very fun and full-hearted human being).
John Streets is creative, romantic and melodic. He considers himself a composer with a lot of hands, an entrepreneur and likes challenges. Loves folk, acoustic, country and classic rock music. He believes that the people around us are part of us and that they transform us. It is thanks to them that John Streets is available to be heard, making his music known. Thanks everyone for that, especially your family.
