Due to the great success of his rapid passage through Portugal in September 2018, with concerts sold out, Johnny returned in 2019 for a series of concerts, this time touring some of the most emblematic national venues: Theatro Circo (Braga), Salão Brazil (Coimbra ), Stereogun (Leiria), Capitólio (Lisbon) and the main one of the Hard Club (Porto).

After performing more than 45 concerts all over Brazil and reaching the impressive number of more than 80 thousand spectators by the capitals where he passed, Johnny Hooker begins to bid farewell to the tour of his second album, the acclaimed “Heart”.
Launched in August 2017, the album brought up great tracks such as: Flutua (with Liniker), Corpo Closed (with Gaby Amarantos), Caetano Veloso, among other hits that made this concert one of the most acclaimed of the new MPB.
Johnny Hooker is “a woman in rage in the body of a man with eyes full of tears”, this is how the singer and composer from Pernambuco won the Brazilian Music Award for Best Singer and who took the musical market by surprise with his first solo album “I’m Gonna Make a Macumba to Tying You Up, Damn!”, voted by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the best albums of the year.
In “Coração” Johnny mixes samba, brega, frevo, guitarado and axé in a reaffirmation of the country’s identity, making a song that is admittedly northeastern, that challenges genres, languages and questions the very identity of Brazilian music. It is a concert to dance and to vibrate. It is a celebration of Brazilian and Latin music.
If in “I’m Gonna Make a Macumba to Bind You, Cursed!” The singer and composer suggested a tour of passionate love stories against Recife and a sound palette that was celebrated from Recife’s brega, to blues and until Frevo, now “Heart” takes a turn between Tropicalismo and the American Blue-eyed Soul. “As if Caetano Veloso’s” Transcendental Cinema “and David Bowie’s” Young Americans “had a child in Recife,” Johnny says.
Hooker’s songs became known for a soundtrack to audio-visual works such as the cult hit “Tatuagem” by Hilton Lacerda and TV Globo’s soap operas, “Geração Brasil” and “Babilonia” and the Justice series.
The Tour of the album has already toured 20 capitals of Brazil, as well as presentations in Lisbon, Porto, Berlin, and Barcelona.
