Bassist Kyle Eastwood takes the stage of the Black and Silver Lounge on November 18 at 9:30 pm to make his work known.
Kyle Eastwood is a highly regarded performer and bandleader whose sound is in line between acoustic postbop and contemporary jazz. The son of legendary actor Clint Eastwood, the bassist inherited his father’s love of jazz music, becoming a respected musician during the early 1990s; later leading his own quartet. In 1998, he made his solo debut with the album “From There to Here”. In 2005 he returned to albums with Paris Blue, influenced by pop and soul.
During his solo work, he also composed for several films including, “Letters to Iwo Jima”, “Invictus” and “J. Edgar”.
In 2011, he joined trumpeter Graeme Flowers and saxophonist Graeme Blevins to sign the work “Songs from the Chateau”.
The bassist’s latest album, “In Transit”, was released in 2017 with saxophonist Stefano Di Battista as a special guest.
