Lara Afonso will perform, next Friday, November 13, at 8 pm, in Lounge D. With a revival proposal, several covers and original themes will be highlighted, well known to Casino Estoril visitors.
“I will revisit a diverse cast of compositions that marked different stages of my musical career”, reveals Lara Afonso, who will be seconded, on the piano, by Rui Barreto.“It will be an intimate alignment that favors themes with which I identify, including some of my main successes”, underlines Lara Afonso, making a preview of her show scheduled for Lounge D.
Thus, two TVI generics of soap operas will be in evidence, which constituted great national successes: “Amanhecer”, from the novel with the same title, in 2002, and “Feitiço” from the soap opera “Feitiço de Amor”, in 2015 .
With two participations in the “Festival da Canção”, by RTP, Lara Afonso will also revisit the themes “Alma Nova” and “O seu Segredo”, which she interpreted, precisely, in 2006 and 2014, in the historic musical contest of Portuguese television.
Lara Afonso also promises to relive the beginning of her career when she sang in different bars, especially in the Lisbon region, recreating covers that marked the panorama of national and international music.
“I will privilege several successes of Portuguese artists such as, for example, Rui Veloso, Pedro Abrunhosa, Sara Tavares or Amor Electro, not forgetting, also, world-renowned names, namely, Corinne Bailey Rae, Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga or Elton John”, He says.
With a versatile professional career, Lara Afonso started her musical career, practically, at the same time she started working on television, having distinguished herself as a presenter of several programs in the areas of culture and entertainment on different channels, such as, for example, SIC, Benfica TV or Correio da Manhã TV.
But, music was a passion, which he followed whenever he managed to reconcile with his commitments on television. Nowadays, Lara Afonso remains in the communication area, but the desire to sing spoke louder, returning to the stage and, this time, to Lounge D at Casino Estoril.
