Leixões and Nacional drew 1-1 today, in matchday two of the II Portuguese Football League marked by the intense intensity and the 13 yellow cards shown.
Despite the fact that both teams created situations to score in the first half, only Nacional managed to achieve in the 40th minute by Rochez, answering Leixões in the second half, with Luís Silva’s equalizer on 53.
The Leixões came from a defeat away and tried to take charge of the game, imposing intensity to their football and launching their attacks almost always through the side corridors, but their crossings had no effect.
The first big situation came at 17 minutes, when Braga shot to the right post, responding to Nacional two minutes later, with two plays created by Brayan Riascos.
After 40 minutes, the islanders advanced ahead when João Camacho served Witi and the latter crossed to Rochez, who scored.
Having threatened a draw even before the break, Leixões equalized the game at 53. Following a corner by Derick Polonia, João Pedro deflected and Luís Silva pulled into the second post.
With the equality, Leixões pressed and Nacional went through some difficulties, having João Rodrigues missed a great opportunity in the 69th minute, while the visiting team, taking advantage of the opposite advance, was also very close to moving forward, but the goal-keeper Ivo avoided the goal of Riascos.
