Leonor Teles in focus at Spanish film festival

The festival will show practically all Leonor Teles’ short but award-winning filmography: the documentary feature “Terra Franca” and the short films“Rhoma Acans”, “Balada de um Batráquio” and “Cães que ladram aos pássaros”.

With “Balada de um batráquio”, Leonor Teles won, in 2016, the Golden Bear for best short film at the Berlin film festival, one of several international awards already won by the director and director of photography.

The official program of the Gijón festival also includes, in the official competition of short films, the film “O Cordeiro de Deus”, by David Pinheiro Vicente, which was part of the selection of the IndieLisboa festival and of the special edition of the Cannes festival, on France.

In the competition for Asturian shorts is the film “Extintor“, by the Spanish director Rodrigo Sopeña, and in which the Portuguese actress Joana Solnado is also credited, in co-directing.

The festival will take place on a paid basis until the 28th on the platforms FICX.TV, Filmin and Festhome.
