The students’ city is the second to receive the Lime trotters on national soil
From today it is possible to meet Coimbra on two wheels, on Lime’s electric scooters. The sustainable mobility platform will provide between 200 and 400 shared facilities in the city, in the 70 hotspots defined with the municipality.
Coimbra thus becomes the second city where Lime is now available in Portugal. “Despite being one of the oldest cities in the country, Coimbra has always been very innovation-oriented and, from the beginning, showed a lot of openness to think together about the offer of this mobility alternative”, explained Nuno Inácio, Lime’s expansion director in Portugal.
To use Lime’s scooters you must be over 18 years old. To unlock and start travel, just scan the QR Code that is in each one, using the mobile application of Lime.
The price of each trip includes the payment of one euro to unlock and then the cost is 15 cents per minute of use.
The parking, underlining itself, should be carried out “outside pedestrian walks, entrances to garages and stops of public transport and, whenever possible, in bicycle parking and/or defined places,” Lime said in the statement.
