Luís Figo Foundation donates 50,000 masks and 2,000 protective suits

The foundation created in 2003 expressed concern about the times that are happening due to the covid-19 pandemic, which in Portugal has already caused 1,247 fatalities, among 29,432 confirmed cases of infection, according to the epidemiological bulletin released today by the Directorate-General of the (DGS).

Of the infected people, 629 are hospitalized, of which 101 are in intensive care units, and the number of recovered cases is 6,431.

Portugal entered on May 3 in a calamity situation due to the covid-19 pandemic – a disease transmitted by a new coronavirus detected in late December, in Wuhan, a city in central China -, after three consecutive periods in a state of emergency since 19 March.
