Luís Represas enchanted Maria Matos

Luís Represas was at Maria Matos Teather to sing songs from his album “Ao canto da noite” but also songs he sang with Trovante and solo career.

The singer performed on stage alone, in the company of his guitars and good songs, that he over the years gave us and everyone knows.

Luís Represas interpreted songs that were popularized by Trovante, themes that he has already performed in his solo career since the album “Represas” at Maria Matos Teather with the support of the radio M80.

It was with “Eyes” of the record “Ao Vivo No CCB” that Luís Represas started the concert, and it was eyes on eyes that he led the audience on a trip full of good music and poetry.

The singer thanked the audience who had the courage to leave the house in these strange times and left a request, “Pass the word”, it is possible to return to the rooms to see shows safely.

Luís Represas told some small stories that “framed” the songs he was interpreting and honouring several friends who passed on his Musical journey, such as Miguel Nuñez, Cuban pianist and Osmani Sanchez, Cuban drummer, who collaborated on “Represas” first solo album, Ivan Lins and Pablo Milanés.

After “Olhos” followed, “Fora de tempo“, “O que vai ser“, “Um caso a mais” and “Do fundo do tempo“, Luís Represas also thanked Rádio M80, for the support in this concert.

He then sang a Rossana song, “A fuego lento“, then sang “Asas de anjo” from the album “Boa Hora” and which he composed in partnership with Ivan Lins. “Feiticeira” music that he performs in a duet with Pablo Milanés was the theme that followed.

The surrendered audience often sang in chorus and even “replaced” the singer in the most well-known themes and was applauded by Luís Represas on a night that was fantastic, as in “Hoje” the first song by Trovante or in “Ser Poeta” with a beautiful poem by Florbela Espanca.

Luís Represas would say even after this theme, in which he was accompanied by the public that “As dangerous as the world is, it is not a mask that will silence us, at least the music“.

With the concert drawing to a close, there was still time to hear “Quem disse“, “A última festa“, “Ao canto da noite” and “Foi como foi“, which would have been the last theme, but the public did not let Luís Represas leave, and it was with “As ruas da minha cidade” and “125 Azul” that Luís Represas ended this great concert.
