Microsoft announces the launch of new Surface devices

Available in pre-order, the new Surface Book 3 and Surface Go 2 offer the necessary versatility for those on the move ensuring a seamless experience between the device and the tools needed to work, learn or play on the go.

Microsoft announces a new step towards the future of productivity with the launch of two new Surface devices, the Surface Book 3 and Surface Go 2. Both devices are already available in pre-order and their arrival in the Portuguese market is scheduled for the next May 12th, in the case of Surface Go 2 with prices starting at € 469, and on June 5th for Surface Book 3, with the base price in the order of € 1,849.

In addition to the two new devices, Microsoft also announces the launch of a set of accessories from the Surface line, which include the Surface Headphones 2, Surface Earbuds, Surface Dock 2, and Microsoft USB-C Travel Hub.

A new generation of Surface devices

Reality has changed, as have fixed locations, which we have always called offices. Based on this premise, the new Surface Book 3, Surface Go 2, and other accessories were developed with the purpose of helping more and more the user who values ​​the mobility of their equipment without jeopardizing their productivity.

A new generation of devices prepared to respond effectively to the growing need to be more and more connected and to the lifestyle of today’s society, namely for teleworking and remote education.

Surface Go 2

The Surface Go 2 is the real two in one, affordable, and very portable, from the Surface line. It maintains the thin and light design of its predecessor but now offers a 10.5” PixelSense™ display, longer battery life and a performance level up to 64% faster than the first version. Includes an 8th Generation Intel® Core™ processor and a new dual-microphone solution, Studio Mics, which allows you to increase voice clarity and reduce background noise in meetings via Teams or via video calls. Its 5MP front camera is able to deliver clearer video quality, even in low light conditions.

It also includes a new application for the rear camera, to facilitate the scanning of documents and whiteboards – whether to share notes from a meeting or to present homework. Paired with the Surface Pen, the Surface Go 2 allows students and distance workers to become more digital than ever, by offering all the tools necessary to draw diagrams, mark documents or work with mathematical equations.

Surface Go 2 is customizable through a set of covers and accessories in a wide variety of colors including Platinum, Black, Poppy Red, and Ice Blue. Surface Go 2 PVP starts at €469 and will be available from May 12th at the Microsoft Store.

Surface Book 3

When Surface Book was first thought, Microsoft‘s goal was to offer people on a single device, the performance of a desktop, the versatility of a tablet and the freedom of a light and thin notebook. Today developers, designers, and professionals from all over the world rely on the Surface Book for coding processes, compiling documents, working in Adobe, or even testing games with the Xbox Game Pass for PC. Tasks that until recently could not be performed remotely because laptops were not powerful enough to keep up with this type of more demanding workflow.

The Surface Book 3 is the most powerful notebook in our history, capable of offering up to 50% more performance compared to the Surface Book 2 and up to 17.5 hours of battery life.
