Microsoft has just announced that its cloud platform, Microsoft Azure, was distinguished by the National Security Office (GNS) with the first NACIONAL RESERVED Cloud security certification to be held in Portugal.
The GNS is the national authority for the accreditation of people and companies for the access and handling of classified information, with the competence to evaluate, certify and accredit the information and communication systems that process classified information.
In the process of this certification, rigorous tests of security and compliance to Cloud services were carried out involving an extensive team led by GNS, with close technical collaboration from a qualified and independent auditing company (Adyta) in the area of security tests, as well as national and international collaboration. Microsoft’s international network.
After similar processes have taken place in several countries, Portugal has now also completed its evaluation and certification process for some services that integrate Microsoft Azure. This will mean strengthening the security of national organizations.
