The album “Miramar” nominated for Best European Album of the Year, by the Association of Independent Music Companies

The debut album “Miramar“, by the duo of guitarists Peixe and Frankie Chavez, is a candidate for the award for best European album of the year, given by the Independent Music Companies Association (IMPALA).

The 10th edition of the Best European Album of the Year award has 22 nominees, who demonstrate the artistic diversity of European independent music.

Among the nominees is “Miramar“, an album that Pedro Cardoso (Peixe) and Francisco Chaves (Frankie Chavez) edited in early 2019, with instrumental songs that reflect a mutual harmony and complicity, born in a house next to the beach, in Miramar, Vila Nova de Gaia.

In addition to ‘Miramar‘, published by Rastilho Records, the list of nominees for the Impala award includes, for example, Swiss rock, Finnish folk and German electronics, listed the association.

“LP5”, by the German Apparat, “Brenn Sistema Brevet“, by the Norwegian Erlend Ropstad, and “Sombrero Roto“, by the Spanish Kiko Veneno, are also candidates for the prize.

In 2019, the prize for best European independent album was awarded to Viagra Boys‘ ‘Street Worms‘.
