ModaLisboa ends today with Nuno Gama, Gonçalo Peixoto and Dino Alves

The 52nd edition of ModaLisboa, taking place at the Carlos Lopes Pavilion, ends today with the presentation of the collections for the next autumn/winter of, among others, Nuno Gama, Gonçalo Peixoto, Olga Noronha, Aleksandar Protic and Dino Alves.

The collection “Mutantes“, by Nuno Gama, inaugurates today the passerelle of the Pavilion Carlos Lopes. Then, the collections of three new talents from the LAB platform will be presented: Andrew Coimbra, Gonçalo Peixoto and Olga Noronha.

The Portuguese-Canadian Andrew Coimbra collection, “about dressing serious, but not getting serious“, maintains a “streetwear” tone, and has some nostalgia, with the fashion designer exploring the basic materials of his childhood, such as corduroy.

The creation of Gonçalo Peixoto’s collection started with “what women want, their desires, what they think about the modern world and how they see modern femininity.

Olga Noronha will show “Flourish“, a collection in which “the invisible Ego is unveiled by the dance that poetically from the ashes causes flowers to sprout.

For the passage of ModaLisboa will still be Nycole, whose collection “has as its starting point the techno / minimal album titled ‘Persona’ by DJ Rival Consoles“; Ricardo Andrez, with a collection “attentive to public thought and the way fashion, is evolving or even criticizing itself”, and Aleksandar Protic, with pieces in which he explores “the idea of freedom” he found in the documentary ‘ Cobra gipsies, “which depicts the life of an Indian tribe.

The 52nd edition of ModaLisboa closes with Dino Alves and a collection that “reacts to prejudice, reacts to the destruction of the planet, reacts to social inequality, reacts to freedom of expression, reacts to the unhealthy dictatorship of beauty, reacts to injustice, dehumanization of relationships, “a collection that” is a manifesto to the bad mood.

The parades are accessible by invitation only, but, like previous editions, there will be in the vicinity of the Carlos Lopes Pavilion various activities open to the public, such as a temporary store, exhibitions, workshops, masterclasses (in the areas of Sustainability, Fashion Communication and Tailoring) and a live atelier, “where several actors from multiple disciplines will be invited to customize a piece of clothing.

The schedules and other information about the activities can be consulted at www.modalisboa.pt.
