The majority of university students (67%) do not have a LinkedIn account, although the vast majority are aware of the existence of this social network, and those who have an account never consult or use it, it is concluded in a survey by the University of Portugal with 361 students of the 2019-20 academic year.
It should be remembered that LinkedIn, dedicated to the professional environment and used as a tool for candidates and companies to relate, has grown significantly in recent years, but the survey dictates that 78% of respondents claim to have less than 100 connections, with only 7 % have more than 300 connections since creating their account.
These data from the UPT show that what could be an instrument of seeking and establishing contact for those who want to enter and assert themselves in the labor market, does not have much weight for the younger generation.
