Nadal beats Djokovic and wins Roland Garros

Rafael Nadal reinforced, this Sunday, the title of ‘king’ of the clay, defeating Novak Djokovic in three sets to conquer what was the 13th tournament of Roland Garros in his career.

The 34-year-old Spanish tennis player needed just 2 hours and 41 minutes to beat number 1 in the world tennis hierarchy, by the 6-0, 6-2 and 7-5 ends, and secure the 20th Grand Slam on the account folks.

The Majorcan, second in the ATP ranking, is thus able to match Roger Federer (who occupies the fourth position) at the top of the list of players with the most great titles won in the history of the sport.

Right behind this duo appears, precisely, Novak Djokovic, with 17 Grand Slams in the honors, among them eight Opens from Australia, five Wimbledon tournaments, three US Open and only one Roland Garros.
