A new feature spotted by the XDA Developers website in the latest version of the Netflix app for Android suggests that the company will allow users to watch series and movies while they are being downloaded for offline viewing.
Currently the user must wait for the content to finish downloading to the smartphone or tablet to start watching, but with this feature, Netflix will be able to eliminate the waiting time.
Netflix will be able to give users the ability to download their content via mobile data rather than Wi-Fi. It will not be the right choice to save mobile data, but it may still be preferable to traveling by plane. / train with nothing to see offline.
