New Year, New Dough! This is the starting point for presenting the novelties of the letter from the pizzeria L’Origine by Chakall for the beginning of 2020.
The highlights is the new pizza dough based on turmeric, but there is a set of new dishes that will be part of the winter menu at L’Origine by Chakall, the signature pizzeria of the Argentine chef that opened in March 2019.
So let’s talk about pizzas, the queens of our space … To “be the company” with the beet and ginger dough, charcoal and, of course, the traditional pasta, now comes turmeric. As is already known, the pizza dough “Chez L’Origine” goes through a period of slow maturation between 32 to 72 hours with special attention to the fermentation process and the choice of all ingredients, always looking for, in addition to a gastronomic experience unforgettable, get a light pizza, easy to digest and with impeccable quality.
Turmeric, a new acquisition of the winter menu, is a root known for its bitter taste and golden colour. It gives an exotic flavour to foods and has numerous therapeutic properties (anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory) giving, in addition, an important contribution to digestive function. In the menu, we can find several combinations of ingredients to test the sublime flavour of turmeric.
Still in the pizzas section, we now have Pizza La Mazarese (tomato sauce, mozzarella, burrata, tomato, pecorino romano and basil), Pizza La Norvegese (tomato sauce, mozzarella, mascarpone, salmon, leek and cherry tomato) , Pizza Il Galeone (tomato sauce, mozzarella, ricotta, spinach, bacon, goat cheese and fried egg) and Pizza Deliziosa (tomato sauce, mozzarella, ham, mushrooms and oregano).
But the news is not limited to pizzas! There is more, but let’s see: in the starters and specialities, we can now taste Bruschette Caprese, Rollê Vegetariano and Burrata de Truffles. And for those who are not very fond of pizzas (yes, there is always that weirdest friend …) the Pasta Fresca section now has more options: Homemade Gnocchi Pesto, Homemade Gnocchi with Ragù, Penne Caprese and Cannelloni Ossobuco.
With the sweet tooth in mind, the offer of desserts has also grown: Trio de Panna Cotta (with berries, Nutella and caramel), Torta di Zucca (juicy pumpkin cake with crumble), frozen Tartufo and new flavours of ice cream, such as Limoncello.
With so many new features added to an already surprising letter … Will a slice? The invitation remains!
