Non-resident overnight stays increased again in November (+ 2.2%, -2.7% in October), after seven months with reductions, according to data released by the National Statistics Institute (INE), this Tuesday.
Hotels and similar establishments registered 1.3 million guests and 3.3 million overnight stays in November 2018, corresponding to + 6.3% and + 4.6%, respectively. In October, it should be pointed out, the variation of overnight stays had been null.
In the same month, the average stay (2.48 nights) was reduced by 1.6%, + 2.0% in residents and -2.2% in non-residents.
On the other hand, revenues accelerated, totalling a growth of 6.3% (+ 2.8% in October) and reached 189.3 million euros. Room revenues increased 6.1% (+ 2.1% in October), corresponding to 134.3 million euros.
