Since the beginning of the year, the Novabase Group has added 81 new graduates to its team through the Novabase Academy, a program that aims to select and develop talent outside Universities.
Young people joined Celfocus, a Group company that operates in sectors such as Telecommunications and Financial Services, among others. Celfocus’s talent capture and retention strategy was maintained despite the pandemic context, with the Instituto Superior Técnico, the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa and Iscte dominating the placement of young people during this year.
Most of the recruits have a Master’s degree, followed by a Bachelor’s degree as preferential training. As for courses, most have a degree in Informatics Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering.
“Attracting and attracting qualified talent continues to be one of our priorities, but also one of our greatest challenges, and this program proves to be fundamental to attract young people at the beginning of their careers, in an area where the search for the best talent remains a At a time when youth employability is critically important, it is essential to support them and provide them with the necessary tools and knowledge to enable them to start their journey successfully. It is therefore with great enthusiasm that we open our doors to these 81 young people and that we introduced them to the professional world, through international projects in cutting edge technologies.”
-Isabel Costa de Sousa, responsible for the Talent Acquisition area at Celfocus
Since its inception in 2006, the Novabase Academy program has integrated more than 1600 young people into technology. As a complement to this program, the Novabase Group has a strong connection to Universities, with strategic partnerships and participation in multiple joint initiatives.
Of note is the partnership with the Instituto Superior Técnico, recently renewed, which intends to continue to align technical skills and scientific knowledge with the needs of the market, so that it is possible to train young talents and prepare them for their professional career.
