After stopping for about two months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 returned to Eleven Sports on 16 May. Over the past two weekends, more than 400,000 people have been connected to Eleven Sports channels in their homes, to accompany the return of the first major football leagues in Europe.
The Bundesliga was the first football league to return to action and, after two months of suspension from sports competitions, Eleven Sports broadcast all matches in this championship for two weekends, live, in high definition and exclusively, through your channels.
“The results show that fans have longed for live sport and, specifically, for the best football in Europe. In these last two weekends we have achieved the best result ever in terms of audience for Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 matches.
It is also worth noting the fact that during the days that there was no live football, we managed with the excellence of the content offer to make customers loyal to the channels ”, says Nuno Miranda, Marketing and Communication Director at Eleven Sports in Portugal.
During the suspension period of the main sports leagues and competitions, Eleven Sports operated a real revolution in the content and formats made available to fans.
For about two and a half months, the premium sports channel made efforts to provide new content, programs and special programming formats. The bet on eSports, with the creation of the eSports Eleven concept, was one of the most successful strategies during the pandemic.
With the resumption of the German league and the expected return of the remaining competitions, LaLiga, Champions League and Formula 1 during the coming months, the channel will resume, together with the operators, its tariffs from 9.99 euros for monthly and 99.99 euros for annual.
