President of Sporting de Braga had already confirmed that the coach would be starting from Pedreira.
Abel Ferreira, coach of Sporting de Braga until this Monday, was officially appointed as the new coach of the Greeks of PAOK.
The Portuguese coach, with only 40 years, leaves for his first adventure across borders, taking over the technical command of the formation that won the Greek title.
With three years of Sporting de Braga, with a sustained and challenging course against the big three, the coach born in Penafiel will have accepted what Antonio Salvador has confirmed as an “irrefutable offer.”

According to the Thessaloniki club’s website, Abel Ferreira is expected to join the squad in the Netherlands, where the team is training to prepare for the new season.
His first major challenge will be his qualifying campaign for the Champions League, which means that he will go beyond the third qualifying round and the play-off before the group stage.
Abel Ferreira had a contract with Sporting Braga until 2021 but left the boys now after just over two seasons ahead of the Arsenal’s main team.
