The Portuguese Paulo Gonçalves (Hero) finished in the seventh position the last stage of the Silk Road rally, scoring for the All-Terrain World Championship, ascending to the 15th place.

Paulo Gonçalves, who did not finish the sixth stage due to a mechanical fault, penalizing 28:55 hours, finished the race at 27:07 hours of the winner, the British Sam Sunderland (KTM), adding four podiums in stages.

“I was very pleased to finish this rally, it was more than 5,000 kilometers, I tried to go as far as possible and increase my pace with each special, I felt good, especially in the stages played in China,” explained Paulo Gonçalves.

The Portuguese rider made his debut on the Hero team after leaving Honda.

“For me, the most important thing was to have the first contact with the team, thank you all for the opportunity and the fantastic support, I believe that with this bike and this team, we can fight for the first positions in the events that come there,” he concluded.
