Pedro Neves Marques wins best short film at festival in Brazil

The Luso-Brazilian co-production, which won its fifth prize, portrays the survival of a polyamorous and non-binary relationship in the context of an epidemic in Brazil and the tensions that develop between the protagonists, in a work that crosses several cinematographic genres.

Debuting at the 2019 Toronto Festival, ‘The Bite’ went through the already New York, Glasgow, Winterthur and Moscow festivals, among others, in a total of 40 selections for national and international film festivals and shows.

This is Pedro Neves Marques’ third short film, succeeding ‘Semente exterminadora’ (2017) e ‘A arte que faz mal à vista’ (2018).

Last week, it was announced that Pedro Neves Marques will be one of 69 guest artists at the Gwangju Biennial of Contemporary Art, scheduled for February 26 to May 9, 2021, in that city in South Korea.
