Pedro Sousa and Frederico Silva meet in the ‘eighths’ in Milan
Portuguese tennis players Pedro Sousa and Frederico Silva will play in the knockout rounds of the Milan challenger after today they have won their second round matches.
Pedro Sousa, 106th in the world ranking and fourth place in Milan, beat Julian Ocleppo, 424th in the world in two sets by 6-3 and 7-5 at the end of a hour and 18 minutes of play.
Frederico Silva, 316, had more play time, but beat Filippo Filip Peliwo 260th, 6-2 and 6-3 in one hour and 24 minutes.
On Sunday, 31-year-old Pedro Sousa won the Bois and secured the sixth career challenger after wins in Pullach (Germany) and Braga (2018) and Como (Italy), Liberec (Czech Republic) and Francavilla (Italy) in 2017.
