A typical Portuguese dish, the garden fish, can be considered as a delicious Ovolactovegetarian recipe, with an irresistible flavor, much appreciated as a starter or snack to serve at home or at parties.

400 gr. green bean
150 gr yeast wheat flour
1 dl water
frying sunflower oil
Wash the green beans, remove the string if necessary and bake in boiling salted water for 5 minutes. Then drain the green beans and let cool.
Pour the flour into a bowl, stir in the eggs and water, stirring constantly until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
Heat the oil to 180º.
Cut the green beans into strips as close as possible.
Pass the green beans one by one through the batter and place in the deep fryer. Let fry until golden in color.
Remove from oil and drain. Repeat the operation is to finish the green beans.
You can serve your fish as a snack or with a tomato rice and a mixed salad.
