Participants had the opportunity to gain a deeper insight into issues related to food waste, social inequalities, climate change, pollution, loss of biodiversity and more. It was also a unique opportunity to discuss the extent to which COVID-19 impacted the phenomenon of environmental change.
For security reasons due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of face-to-face participants has been greatly reduced from a maximum capacity of 20,000 a day to just 1,000 a day in order to ensure safe circulation and social distance within the arena. The conference combined a physical and online experience into a new hybrid event model that allows it to run on the desired scale ensuring total security.
