The first batch of automobiles is aimed at thousands of new customers in Sweden and Norway, followed by deliveries in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
Polestar 2 was presented in February in a presentation that took place exclusively online, for environmental reasons.
This new model from the Volvo Car Group electric performance brand introduced itself to the world with an avant-garde design and capable of providing a unique experience for the consumer.
Inserted in the segment of premium electric compact cars, Polestar 2 is a 5-door model, based on Volvo’s CMA – Compact Modular Architecture platform. This model has 2 electric motors and a battery with a capacity of 78 kWh that will allow an autonomy of 500 km.
The 27-module battery pack is integrated into the bottom of the vehicle, contributing not only to an increase in chassis rigidity but also to better levels of soundproofing and vibration – road noise has been reduced to 3.7 dB when compared to the traditional chassis.
For Polestar, performance is fundamental and defining the driving experience. The Polestar 2 is a high-performance model, with 408hp and 660 Nm of torque, capable of doing less than 5 seconds from 0 – 100 km/h.
