Porsche unveils the new 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition

Only 992 models will be produced, and the price in Portugal starts at 218 thousand euros.

Porsche presented the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition, the most modern 911 but with design elements from the 50s and 60s of the last century, as the first of four collection models born from the Heritage Design strategy.

Exterior and interior elements of historic design have been reinterpreted and combined with the latest technology in an exclusive Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur special edition. It is now available for ordering and will arrive at Porsche Centers in autumn 2020.

This edition is limited to 992 units, corresponding to the internal abbreviation of the range. Along with the introduction of this special edition, some interior elements will be available for all 911 models as part of the Heritage Design Package. Porsche Design created a high-quality chronograph, also in limited edition, exclusively for those who purchase the collector model.

The exclusive painting in Cherry Metallic color and four other exterior colors along with golden logos create an authentic image in the style of the 50s. The exterior of the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition features high-quality white decoration with a historic design. Motor sport graphics, in the form of a spear, placed on the front fenders, are particularly captivating. These “spears” recall Porsche’s beginnings in motor sports.

Another highlight is the Porsche Heritage plaque in the rear storage compartment grille, with a design reminiscent of the Porsche 356 plaque that was awarded for reaching the 100,000-kilometer mark. The quality seal of the past will grace the rear of the four Porsche Heritage Design models.

The link between the past and the present is ensured by the historic Porsche Shield of 1963, placed on the bonnet, steering wheel, wheel center and key of the vehicle and, in relief, on the headrests and key chains, along with the Carrera wheels Exclusive 20”/21” design, offered as standard, and classic black brake calipers.

The exclusive two-tone interior combines Bordeaux Red leather with Club OLEA leather in Atacama Beige or Club OLEA leather in Black with Club OLEA leather in Atacama Beige. The use of bombazine in the seats and doors signals the return of a material already used in the Porsche 356, reviving the zeitgeist and the fifties fashion of the last century.

The rev counter and stopwatch in a classic image with green lighting underline the emotional nature of the concept in the same way as the interior cover of the perforated microfiber fabric roof and the extended Exclusive Manufaktur leather coverings. The metal plaque on the dashboard frieze features the limited edition number.

The first Heritage Design model is based on the new 911 Targa of the 992 generation, presented just a few days ago, equipped with the latest technologies for the chassis, assistance systems and infotainment.

It is powered by a 331 kW (450 hp) biturbo engine. Combined with an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, the modern boxer engine can reach a top speed of 304 km / h and accelerate the 911 Targa (with Launch Control) from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.6 seconds.
