The Porto Ageas Coliseum will now feature a cultural magazine in Porto Canal. The premiere takes place this Thursday, March 28, at 7:55 PM.
“Foyer”, this is the name of the program, will make known the diverse agenda of shows that every week the public can find in this historic room, from music to dance, from theater to comedy going through the circus. The realization and the assembly are the authors of the director Miguel Filgueiras, in close collaboration with the team of communication and image of the Coliseum.
In addition to the upcoming shows, which include the Coliseum’s own production, the magazine highlights the architecture and patrimonial dimension of this work by Cassiano Branco, under a heading called “Door of the Elephant”. In it, reveal some curiosities and stories about the memories of this theater, inaugurated in 1941. Soon in the first episode, we will reveal why we have a door known internally as the door of the elephant.
“Foyer” is part of the new programming grid that Porto Canal will launch on April 1, and will last about 5 minutes. The debut of the magazine will be exceptionally at 19:55. After the premiere, the program, once a fortnightly, will be broadcast on Thursdays at 8:45 pm, before the “Jornal Diário”, with repetition on Fridays and Saturdays.
“Foyer” is the result of a collaboration protocol between the Porto Ageas Coliseum and the Porto Canal. The protocol was signed by the President of the Coliseum, Eduardo Paz Barroso, and the Director of Information of the channel, Júlio Magalhães, in an informal ceremony on March 6. The signing took place precisely in the Foyer of the Colosseum.
With this partnership, the Coliseum now has another channel for the cultural programming that is taking place here, the Porto Canal also gains cultural content, and the audience is closer to the schedule of shows in the city’s biggest theater. From now on, in all the communication of the Coliseum – posters, screens, flyers, digital communication, etc., Porto Canal will be represented as a media partner.
