Portuguese music will be featured at the weekend in Spain with the Portugal Alive festival
Portugal Alive brings to Madrid and Barcelona the musicians Conan Osiris, Whales and Reis da República.
The musicians will give free admission concerts in both Spanish cities on Friday and Saturday, as part of Portugal Alive, an annual program supported by Cultura Portugal in Spain, which has already led more than a dozen Portuguese artists to perform before the Spanish public. .
On Friday, in Barcelona, and on Saturday, in Madrid, Conan Osiris, the Whales and Reis da Republica take the stage.
The purpose of this festival, which takes place for the sixth consecutive year, is to promote contemporary Portuguese culture among the Spanish public and also to bring it closer to the Portuguese community residing in Spain.
Since its inception, this program has already brought to Madrid and Spain names of current Portuguese music such as Capicua, Bruno Pernadas, Noiserv, Capicua, Linda Martini, Dead Combo and B Fachada, among others.
Over the last few years, Portugal has been featured in several promotional festivals, such as Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen, the Netherlands, and South By Southwest (SXSW), in Austin, Texas, United States, and is already a regular presence in a lot of them.
