Portugal beat Scotland 3-0 in the women’s under-16 tournament

The Portuguese women’s under-16 side won 3-0 today in Scotland’s second game of the UEFA Development Tournament in Vila Real de Santo António.

The Portuguese side, who lost to Germany on a penalty shoot-out (5-4) on Thursday, after a draw to a ball, reached the interval to win 3-0.

In the Vila Real de Santo António Sports Complex, the goals of the Portuguese team, led by Susana Bravo, were scored by Maria Malta in the 18th minute, Margarida Caniço in the 24th and Carolina Almeida at 28 in the conversion of a penalty.

In the third round, scheduled for Monday Portugal face the Netherlands, who still play with Germany today.

Portugal won in 2016 the third edition of the women’s tournament, won last year by the United States.
