Portugal is a guest country of the international fashion fair Pitti Uomo

Portugal is the guest country of the next edition of the largest international men’s fashion fair, Pitti Uomo, which will take place from January 08 to 11 in Florence, Italy, where eleven national brands will participate.

Portugal takes a “luxury entourage” to the fair, which will hold the 95th edition. “In addition to the protagonism associated with the title of ‘Guest Nation’, national colors will still be represented by a large group of companies, brands and stylists, to the conquest of new international markets,” according to the Selective Fashion Association ( ASM), created with a view to enhancing the Portuguese textile industry in an international context.

From the group ‘From Portugal’, ASM, the national fashion brands and designers +351, Ecolã, Hugo Costa, Ideal & Co, Labuta, Mano Studio, Nicole, Westminster, Caiagua, Dielmar and Poente are part of an impressive embassy with a focus on the quality and variety of the offer, ranging from the most classic clothing to sportswear, from clothing to accessories. ”

As a guest country, Portugal will have a “privileged space at the fair”, which “allows Portuguese companies to benefit from an international promotion program organized by the fair itself and directed to all markets represented.”

Pitti Uomo, which is held twice a year, has on average “more than 30 thousand visitors, including entrepreneurs, designers, buyers of major brands, representatives of distribution chains, institutional delegations, and journalists.”

At the fair, Portuguese fashion companies, brands, and fashion designers, “in addition to promoting the national image, seek above all to conquer new markets and increase the volume of exports in the sector.”

The participation of a Portuguese delegation at Pitti Uomo is an initiative promoted by ASM and the Portuguese Textile and Clothing Association.

The ‘From Portugal’ project is co-financed by Portugal 2020, within the scope of Compete 2020 – Operational Program for Competitiveness and Internationalization.
