Portugal rise to the European Athletics Superleague

The Portuguese athletics team was promoted to the European Superleague when there is still 298 points to play in the First League of Nations.

The 39 out of the 40 races, only the 4×400 meters men’s relay is missing, the Portuguese team has 22 points more than Belarus and 32 more than Norway, which is in second and third respectively.

With the victory in the competition held in Sandnes, Norway, with second place in the women’s 4×400 meters relay, with a time of 3,33.95.

Pedro Pablo Pichardo won the 16.98 meters triple jump competition in the first competition held by the Portuguese team.

Lorene Bazolo won the 200-meter race with a time of 23.78 seconds.

André Pereira was second in the 3,000 meters hurdles, at 8.53.60 minutes, behind Norwegian Tom Erling Karbo with 8.52.00, the same position as reaching Mariana Machado in the 5,000 meters with 16.01.14, behind Romanian Roxana Bârca with 15.59, 66.

Carlos Nascimento won the 100 meters, with a time of 10.64 seconds.
