Portugal to become champion of the U-20 Europe

Portugal won today the European Under-20 rugby champion after beating Spain 7-5 in Taveiro on the third and final day of the competition.

The Portuguese team reached the interval to lose by 5-0, but a test, transformed, in the second part, allowed the team guided by Luis Pissarra celebrate the title for the third consecutive year.

The Portuguese team, who were forced to win to overcome the two-point deficit for the Spaniards, knew how to defend their advantage and saw the Spaniards miss a penalty in the 77th minute that could have complicated the goal.

In this way, Portugal finished first with 12 points, one more than the Spanish team.
