Portuguese actress stars in new Netflix series

‘Warrior Nun’ is inspired by an American comic strip created by Ben Dunn.

Luso-Brazilian Alba Baptista will be the protagonist of the next series of fantasy of Netflix based on the North American comic strip ‘Warrior Nun’ of Ben Dunn.

In the name of Warrior Nun, Deadline says that this series will lead Alba Baptista to take on the role of Ava, a 19-year-old woman who wakes up in a morgue and finds that her mission is to eliminate demons on Earth. Baptista is best known to the Portuguese for having participated in TVI’s ‘Double Play’ novel.

Alba Baptista will star in the series with Toya Turner, Tristan Ulloa, Thekla Reuten, Kristina Tontei-Young, Lorena Andrea and Emilio Sakraya. Netflix has yet to advance with a release date for ‘Warrior Nun’ but the recordings have already begun.
