Portuguese women’s team finishes with Romania
The Portuguese women’s football team has bid farewell to qualify for the World Cup with a 5-1 defeat of Romania in the Municipal Stadium Dr. Machado de Matos in Felgueiras.
Portugal even went badly in the match, in an unfortunate move, in the 03 minutes, when Dolores Silva put the ball in the feet of the Romanian spearhead Mara Batea, who made a hat to goalkeeper Inês Pereira.
Even before the interval, the ‘quinas’ team reacted and caused the turnaround with a goal from Ana Leite (30 minutes) and a self-goal from Nagy (43), before Ana Leite re-scored (53), imitated with an ‘encore’ also by Diana Silva (59 and 89).
The Portuguese team, who were already out of the qualifying accounts, finished third in the group with 11 points behind Belgium (19) and Italy (21)
