Premiere of ‘Listen’ by Ana Rocha de Sousa anticipated for October 22

‘Listen’ is the first feature film by director and actress Ana Rocha de Sousa, having won this month four awards at the Venice festival: The Lion of the Future, for the first work, the special jury prize in the Horizons section, and two distinctions ‘Bisato d’Oro’ and Sorriso Diverso Veneza.

The fictional film is a drama of a Portuguese family emigrated to the United Kingdom, in difficulties and with precarious jobs, who try to recover custody of their children, who were unfairly removed by social services on suspicion of mistreatment.

With Luso-British co-production, the film was shot in the vicinity of London with Portuguese and English cast, headed by Lúcia Moniz, Ruben Garcia and Sophia Myles.

Ana Rocha de Sousa, 41, entered the cinema through the door of representation, especially on television, having participated in fiction series such as ‘Risks’, ‘The Streak of Fears’, ‘Strawberries with Sugar’ and ‘Jura’.
