June data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) reaffirm Qatar Airways’ position as the leading international carrier during this crisis, transporting more passengers and cargo than any other airline in order to support the recovery of international travel and vital chains global supply chain.
Q[/dropcap]atar Airways‘ more than 1.25 billion passenger-kilometers of revenue during June represented 8.1% of the global market, more than 50% more than its closest competitor. Qatar Airways Cargo also continued to lead the sector with around 1 billion tonnes of kilometer cargo (CTK), representing 6.8% of the global cargo market, ensuring the much-needed air transport capacity in this area to support global trade, the transport of essential medical supplies and aid to the affected regions.
Qatar Airways has become the largest international carrier to fly more than 85 million kilometers to repatriate more than 2 million passengers on more than 20,000 flights during this crisis. The airline also worked closely with governments and companies around the world to operate more than 360 charter and extra-sector flights.

Our modern and fuel-efficient fleet has allowed us to remain agile, giving us the flexibility to maintain and rebuild our network in a sustainable manner, operating aircraft of adequate dimensions to offer reliable capacity in each market.
While many airlines have suspended operations, we have continued to maintain a schedule and a composite network. Our network throughout this crisis has never dropped below 30 destinations on five continents or less than 150 weekly flights. Since then, we have rebuilt to be the largest in the region, with more than 500 weekly flights to more than 80 destinations.
